Nine people transpose themselves into an atmosphere of peace and concentration of a remote place. Around a mountain cabin in Salzburg, these nine people work on their personal notes using three 16mm cameras and two sound recorders. The barren landscape and the sparse interior of the cabin make it easier to concentrate on the essentials. The intensive observation of things causes their surfaces to blur, and becomes an introspection. The exposed film material clearly shows the relationship to the surroundings and how they are perceived, and also how the filmmakers perceive themselves. (M. P.)
