About this Project
On the basis of an initiative from the Austrian Filmmakers Cooperative the Online Database
Project was created in 1998 which involved five seperate organisations working as producers
or distributors in the field of independent Austrian Film and Video: ASIFA Austria, Austria FilmCoop,
Medienwerkstatt, Navigator Film and Sixpackfilm.
Together with the Culture-Server Public Netbase (www.t0.or.at) a detailled and multiply--layered
structure was developed so that relevant data about individual works, persons and institutions
from the area AvantGarde, Animation, Documentary and Short Fiction Film as well as Art, Documentary
and Digital Video could be collected.
In 2003 a relaunch of the databank was made by Jürgen Schmidt / xeye.at |
